She married her sister's widower on 5 Dec 1844 in Adams Co., Ill. However, she only outlived her sister by five years.
Elizabeth Hale and Chester Hills Tallcott had two children: Mary Elizabeth and Anna Mary Tallcott.

Notice that step-son Oliver, daughter Mary Elizabeth, and Elizabeth Hale died within 4 days of each other.
The book "Quincy and Adams County: History and Representative Men" by David F. Wilcox, pages 829-830 relays the story of Elizabeth Hale, wife of Chester Tallcott, a son and a daughter who died during a Cholera epidemic.
