William Nicklos Watters, 80, passed away Tuesday at his residence near Oneida. He was a life-long resident of Scott County, a member of the Baptist Church and a host of friends. Survivors: wife, Ettie Watters, 2 sons; Bulis of Oneida, Winton of Los Angeles, Calif.; 3 daughters, Minnie Hudson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Juanita Daugherty of Oneida and Shirley Neal of Camos Valley, Oregon; 2 brothers, Newt Watters of Oneida and Marion Watters of California; 3 sisters, Marie Boyatt of Maryville, Tennessee, Martha Cecil and Myrtle Cooper of Oneida. A large number of grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the West Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Lewis Bratcher officiating. Burial in West Lawn Cemetery.
