He was born June 18, 1947 at Netherlands, North of Hayti in Pemiscot County, to the late Roy and Ora Womack Christy.
June 10, 1972, in Caruthersville, he was united in marriage to Marsha Hepler.
He was retired from The Loxcreen Co., Inc. where he was a fork lift operator. He was a member of The Wesleyan Church in Caruthersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ora Womack Christy; brothers, R.L., Bobby and Kenneth Christy; and a sister, Lina Christy.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Christy of Caruthersville; daughter, Shaina Williams of Caruthersville; son, David Christy of Caruthersville; three grandchldren, Brianna (Prestess) Johnson of Caruthersville, Dee Dee Williams of Caruthersville and David Skyler Christy of Caruthersville; two brothers, Lawrence Christ of Hayti and Donald Christy of Kennett; sister, Wanda June White of Memphis, TN; his loving dog, King Elvis Christy; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. Burial was held in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
