JOHN ADCOCK, 70, IS DEAD
John A. Adcock, 70, of Chariton, died Sunday afternoon at the General Nursing Home in this city after an extended illness.
Surviving him are five sons and two daughters, Willard and Arthur Adcock, of Chariton; Paul Adcock, of Waterloo; Harold Adcock, of Billings, Mont.; Homer Adcock, of Des Moines; Mrs. Bertha Miller, of Gary, Ind.; Mrs. Bessie Denlinger, of San Francisco, Calif.; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Paul H. Hicks, of the Methodist church, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Beardsley funeral home, and burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
