Chico Weekly Chronicle-Record, Saturday, August 20, 1892, pg 1 col 5: Funeral of Uncle Jo Boucher. Yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock the funeral of Uncle Jo Boucher took place from the Masonic Hall and was under the auspices of the Knights Templar. The impressive service for the dead Sir Knight was read and a select quartet rendered some appropriate music. The remains were followed to their last resting place in Chico cemetery by a large concourse of friends who had known and loved the deceased during life. The body was consigned to the earth to await the last great trump which shall break the bonds of death and set the resurrected Sir Knight forever free.
