Commerce-Graveside services for Mary Evelyn Carter, 57, of Sulphur Springs, are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Rosemound Cemetery here. She died Wednesday morning at a Sulphur Springs hospital.
Rev. Lee Alexander will officiate.
She was born Jan. 30, 1926 in Peerless to Lewis and Icalena Coffman Parker. She married Howard Carter in 1946 in Hugo, Okla. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1978. The housewife was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include four sons, Don, Dean and Alvis Carter, all of Sulphur Springs and Charles Carter of Greenville; a daughter Mary Coats of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, Robert Parker of Garland and Preston Parker of Lubbock; a sister, Leta Belle Tipton of Greenville and nine grandchildren.
