Commerce-Funeral services for Marvin W. Parker, 68, of Balch Springs and recently of Ladonia will be held at 4 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. N.D. Gillmore officiating. Burial will be at Commerce's Rosemound Cemetery.
Mr. Parker died Wednesday at his Balch Springs home.
He was born at Montague on Sept. 2, 1914, the son of Louis and Lenora Kaufman Parker. On March 14, 1928, he wa married in Sulphur Springs to Dollie Millsap.
He was a retired laborer and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dollie Parker of Balch Springs; sons, Billy G. Parker of Garland, Kenneth Parker of Oklahoma City, and Otis Parker of Cumby; daughters, Mary Sue Goforth and Lillie Louise Pierce, both of Balch Springs; brothers, Preston Parker of Lubbock and Robert Parker of Dallas; sisters Lilla Bell of Greenville and Mary Carter of Sulphur Springs; 13 grand-children and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Moore, Larry Keels, Ivy Lee Carlton, Elton Applegate, Troy Wallace and Eugene Jones.
