J. L. Bishop
James L. Bishop, 84, of 316 Cleveland St. NW, Russellville, died Wednesday at 11 a.m. at a Russellville hospital.
He was a native of Marshall County and a retired carpenter.
Services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. from Oak Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Thomas L. Pierce. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Spry of Russellville in charge.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Myrtie Bishop; two daughters, Miss Mable Bishop, Amarillo, Tex.; Mrs. Harold Miller, Decatur; seven sons, Guy, Ray, Ralph, Larry, all of Russellville; Leo J., of Horton, Ore.; Leon of Chicago, Ill.; Roy of Huntsville; a brother, Joel F., Russellville; three half-sisters, Mrs. Rex Gaston, Russellville; Mrs. Homer Gaston, Mt. Hope; Mrs. Mary F. Stanford of Memphis; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
The body will be at Spry Funeral Home in Russellville until being placed in the church one hour prior to service time.
