George was the son of Johan Georg "George" Sprenkel & Anna Barbara ("Barbara") Miller. He was born about 1768, West Manchester Twp., York Co., PA and died not long before letters of administration were granted for his estate on 16 May 1810.

His surname is found spelled many ways. It is Sprengel on his baptismal record; Sprenkle on the 1800 census and Springle on the 1810 census; Springle in the letters of administration papers. After his death, his widow and the children tend to appear in most records with the Sprankle spelling.

George was married to Susanna. Her maiden name is said to be Null but we have not have any documentation to support that surname. He may also have been married to a woman named Susan Mayer - or fathered a child by her - or, it's possible that Susanna Null = Susan Mayer. If you have documentation about George's wives, please share.

George & Susan Mayer had a daughter named Anna Maria. George & Susanna had at least 9 children: Johannes ("John"); George; Johan Peter ("Peter"); Mary (Hileman); Samuel, Jacob, Susanna (Beck); Barbara; & Michael.

No stone marks George's grave. There is a vacant space next to Susanna's stone. It is possible that he is buried there.
