THIS BIO IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

Delores Irene was born to Earl R. Peek & Susana "Susie" Rodney.

Some of the family called Delores Irene, Grannie and some of us called her, Dee or Aunt Dee. She was a very pleasant and happy, hardworking lady. She was a Beautician for many years and always lending a hand to someone that needed help.

Aunt Dee married Louis Burrell Baxter March 31, 1950. Married 56 1/2 years, till death parted them. They had 2 children from this union. Anita Ruth Baxter, Schumacher & James Lewis Baxter 1956-1987.

Aunt Dee was a Homemaker for many years after she retired and they lived on "Baxter Hill" in Livingston, Texas for many years.

Burrell & Delores owned and operated a Marina at Lake Livingston, Texas. It was a family business.

They owned 2 homes. One was located in Livingston, Texas. Their son James Lewis lived there at first with his family(Aunt Dorothy supplied that history with me). Then the daughter, Anita Ruth and her husband and son live there.

The other home was in Trinity, Texas, where Aunt Dorothy & Uncle Burrell spent many hours in or near the woods. When Anita Ruth was born and they were working in the woods together, a palette of blankets on the ground was laid down for Anita Ruth, so she would be close by them to oversee as they worked.
