Mrs. Frank Wymer, 80, passed away at the Roy Newlon home here shortly after 12 o'clock noon Tuesday, June 30.....Mrs. Wymer had been in failing health during recent months....[funeral details........]
Among those attending the funeral was a brother and sister-in-law of Mrs. Wymer, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin W. Adams of Kane, Wyo.
Mary Evelyn Adams was born March 19, 1873 to Robert and Amanda Sill Adams on a homestead twelve miles northeast of Palmer and passed away the 30th of June, 1953, age 80 yeas, 3 months and 11 days. She grew to womanhood in this locality. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Saviour and has been an active member of the Christian Church of Palmer for many years. At the age of 19 she went to Illinois where she met and married Franklin Enos Wymer on July 27, 1893.
In 1903 they moved to Nebraska and located on a farm in Loup Valley where she resided until his passing in 1944. Since that time she has made her home with the two daughters.
She leaves to mourn her passing, three children: Wayne B. Wymer of Springfield, Oregon, Mrs. Roy Newlon and Mrs. Dale Gress of this locality; eleven grandchildren: Lo Wayne Winn of Seattle, Washington, Royal Wymer of Eugene, Oregon, Lynette Wright of Eugene, Oregon, Neil and Sharon Wymer of Springfield, Oregon, Marta Newlon, Alvin, Keith, Darlene, Linda and Eugene Gress, all of Palmer; three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Alvin W. Adams of Kane, Wyoming and Elmer S. Adams of Hemet, California; nieces and nephews and the many friends and neighbors.
