---------------
Nellie Florence Adams, daughter of Robert and Amanda Adams, was born November 9, 1869 at Princeton, Illinois and passed away March 25, 1943 at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 16 days.
When a child of three, she came with her parents to Nebraska where she spent her girlhood days. On July 3, 1888 she was united in marriage to Oscar Burton at Genoa, Nebraska. To this union, one son was born, Robert Harvey, who passed away in 1918, while in the service of his country. The loss of this son Robert, being so close and dear to her, was a great shock and a blow to Mrs. Burton. For the past twenty-five years she and her husband have resided in Palmer, in their home in the North part of town which they liked so well. She has been a member of the Palmer Christian church for many years.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, one sister, Mrs. Eva Wymer of Palmer; three brothers, Howard Adams of Boise, Idaho; Alvin of Kane, Wyoming; Elmer of Compton, California; and many other relatives and friends.
(Funeral details followed.)
Mr. Alvin Adams of Kane, Wyoming, brother of Mrs. Burton, was here for the funeral. Mr. Adams left Tuesday to return home, taking the train from Grand Island.
