She was first married to James Cox of Gravel Switch, who preceded her in death in 1953, and she was later married to Mr. Wooldridge, who died in January of 1963. She was a teacher for some 20 years in the schools of Russell, Green, Taylor, and Marion Counties.
She leaves a stepson, Mr. J. Hubert Cox of Lebanon Junction, and a sister, Mrs. Juanita Grider of Los Angeles, Calif. There are also a number of nieces and nephews, including Mr. Harold Wheat and Mrs. Frances Davis of Jamestown.
The funeral was held in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church on Saturday, February 29, conducted by Rev. Drewry Meece. Burial was in the Wheat Cemetery. Rippetoe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
