Tannie C. Garner, age 95, of Benton died Saturday September 11, 2010, at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant. She was born on November 11, 1914, in Owensville, Arkansas. Tannie was retired from the Colonial Nursing Home, a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Lee and Mary Elizabeth Huchingson Burnett, husband, Samuel W. Garner, brother, Clinton Burnett, sisters, Mauda Vaughn, Ola Baxter, Arkie Rowan, and Lorene Goodwin.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews, and great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Family gives special thanks to all her care givers for their love and support.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Smith Creek Cemetery on Highway 228.

visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Ashby's.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant or to the First Baptist Church in Benton.
