Henry Seggerman, son of Harry and Anna Michels Seggerman, was born May 8, 1905, on a farm near Fairbury, Neb.

He died September 28, 1988, at Jefferson County Memorial Hospital at Fairbury, at the age of 83 years, four months and 20 days.

In 1926 he became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairbury.

He attended rural schools in Jefferson County and served on the school boards of Districts 29 and 55.

On Jan. 6, 1927, he married Rena Junker, and the couple farmed in the Fairbury area for 40 years. They retired to Fairbury in December 1966.

Due to failing health, he entered Heritage of Fairbury in March 1986.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Ester Doehring.

Survivors include his wife, Rena of Fairbury; son, Marvin and wife Eleanor; daughters, Lila and husband, Alfred Schoen, and Lois and husband, Robert Yantz, all of rural Fairbury; brother, Lester Seggerman of Fairbury; grandchildren, Marsha, Mrs. Tim Diller of Fairbury, Michael Seggerman of Kearney, Lori, Mrs. William Ahrens of rural Fairbury and Ronald Yantz of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Mindy and Derek Diller and Kimberly and Matthew Ahrens.
