OAK PARK, Ill., Sept. 14--Edward Rowland Hills, for more than fifty years a member of the Chicago Bar Association, died at his home yesterday at the age of 77.
Mr. Hills retired fifteen years ago from an active law practice that began here in 1902. He was graduated from the University of Cincinnati Law School in 1900, when William Howard Taft, later President of the United States, was its dean.
Surviving are his widow and five sons.
