Husband of 1st. Abbie Lovie Snider and 2nd. Annie Sutton. Son of Thomas and Mary Susan Fikes Holcombe.

William Thomas Fikes, 95, died early this morning at his home in Coaling. He was a life long resident of Tuscaloosa County, a retired merchant, and the oldest living member of the Coaling Methodist Church.

Mr. Fikes also was the second oldest living Mason in the state, having joined the Masonic order in 1893. He received his 50-year pin from the Rising Virtue Lodge No. 4 last year.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Fikes of Coaling; a son, Hugh W. Fikes of Coaling; a daughter, Mrs. T.H. Wilson of Tuscaloosa, a half sister, Mrs. Eula Edwards of Coaling; four stepsons, Roy Corder, M.C. Corder, Herman L. Corder, C. Melvin Corder; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 15 step grandchildren and two great-step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Coaling Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Coaling Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
