San Augustine, TX – Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie Elizabeth Adkins, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Rosevine Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Rosevine Cemetery under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine.

Mrs. Adkins died early Sunday in the San Augustine Memorial Hospital after an illness of three weeks. She was a native of Milam in Sabine County and a member of the Rosevine Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Pratt of Bronson, TX, Mrs. Willie Mae Butler of Alta Loma; five sons, Jimmerson Adkins of Pineland, TX, Edward Adkins of Bronson, TX, Louis Adkins of Houston, TX, Winford Adkins of Pearland, TX, Cordell Adkins of Port Arthur, TX; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Brawhorn of Bronson, Mrs. Winnie English of Roganville, TX; one brother, Linvel Parker of San Augustine; 45 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
