SANTA FE — Mrs. Willie Mae Butler passed from this life
Wednesday morning in Texas City. Born April 1, 1924, in
Rosevine, Texas, Mrs. Butler had been a resident of Santa Fe
fcr 37 years, previously of Galveston. She had been a long time teacher having taught at Our lady of Lourdes Catholic School, Island School in Galveston, and other area schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of AHa Loma and was an avid painter.
Mrs. Butler is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie
Bufler
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Wanda Bufler, Canton, GA, Kenny and Debbie Butler, La
Marque. Kris and Susan Butler, Santa Fe; daughter and sonin-
law, Kathy and Rociy Stuck, Wylie, Texas; sister, Francis
Pratt, Milam, Texas; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildreiL
Funeral services win be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday at
the First Baptist Church of Alta Loma, Pastor Alaii Splawn officiating. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Friday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Hway 6,925- 3501.
Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations
to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
