Abe "Wedo" Cordova - Huerfano World - May 22, 2003 - Abe "Wedo" Cordova, 78, of Walsenburg, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003. He was a retired railroad worker of the Burlington Northern Railroad, member of the St. Mary Church and the Eagles. His favorite pastime was fishing, hunting and spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. He will be sadly missed by his children, Ross (Rita) Cordova, Walsenburg, Patricia (Cordova) (James "JT") Thomas, Westminster, Thomas (Catherine) Cordova, Rose (Ed) Duran, Walsenburg and Michael Cordova, Denver; grandchildren, Lori Beth Ortiz, Lila Jane Topping, Jada Elizabeth and Jared Edward Thomas, Jamie Lee and Thomas Robert Cordova, and Kelli (Vigil) and Eddie Duran; great-grandchildren, David, Victoria, Liza and Dion Ortiz, Alexis, Cori Beth Topping and Kaela Lee Garcia; sisters-in-law, Ginny Vigil and Mary Baer; brother-in-law, Modesto Vigil; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; parents, Jose and Bernadita Cordova; and all his brothers and sisters. Services were Friday, May 16, 2003 at St. Mary Church with burial at the North St. Mary Cemetery. [Editors note: Also there are new great-grandchildren.
