John Hess Brubaker married Elizabeth Walsmith on Feb. 25, 1817. They lived on the farm that John had developed with his first wife, Eve Weaver, on land deeded from his father, John Brubaker. They had nine children. Elizabeth is buried in the family cemetery on the farm that has since been destroyed.
