John Hess Brubaker came from Lancaster Coutny, Pa. with his parents to Mifflin County now Juniata County, Pa. about 1790. He married Eve Weaver and first lived in Greenwood Twp., Juniata Co., PA, and they later moved to a farm near Walnut in Beale Twp., Juniata Co., Pa. Eve died in 1816 and was buried in a cemetery on the farm. John's second wife was Elizabeth Walsmith. John, Elizabeth and John's mother, Veronica Hess Brubaker, were also buried in the family cemetery on the farm. The cemetery has since been destroyed.
