MRS. JENNIE D. MARQUAM, a long time resident of Curlew, died very suddenly at the Republic Hospital in November 10th. Born Feb. 7, 1887 in Missouri, she came west as a young girl. she lived in Idaho until 1929 when she moved with her husband, Chester Guy Marquam to Curlew where she had lived since.
Mrs. Marquam was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Curlew and Curlew Civic Club.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Curlew with the Rev. Leo Barnes officiating.
Pallbearers were Ed Copp, Albin Nelson, Bernard Egner, Bill Portugue, Leo Anderson and Peter Stotts. Burial was in the Curlew Cemetery. Barnes Funeral Service of Oroville was in charge.
Surviving are her husband, Guy Marquam, three daughters, Mrs. Beulah Bonnalie of Concrete, Mrs. Flor (Floy) Harrington of Spangle and Mrs. Goldie Lembcke of Curlew, one son, Clifford Marquam of Curlew, 3 brothers, George Heuett of Lewiston, Idaho, Guy Heuett of Colville and June Heuett of Myrtle, Idaho, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
