Mrs. Janet Haslow, 34, Baraboo, who was critically injured in a car-truck crash near there Saturday morning, died at St. Mary's Ringling Hospital at 1:05 Monday afternoon. She never regained consciousness.
Both Mrs. Haslow and her brother, Wendell Lubben, Milwaukee, who was with her in the car at the time of the accident were former residents of Wisconsin Rapids. The former had moved to Baraboo three years ago to be employed by Badger Ordnance.
The victim sustained a skull fracture when she was thrown against a tree. Her brother suffered fractures of the shoulder, ribs and leg, and was to undergo surgery this morning.
Funeral services for Mrs. Haslow will be held here at 1:30 Thursday afternoon at the Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. L. F. Schneider officiating. Burial is to take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
She was born in Wisconsin Rapids on January 24, 1921, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lubben. Her mother and two brothers preceded her in death.
Survivors include her father, Harry Lubben, Byron, California; one daughter Mar Jo, Baraboo; two brothers, Wendell and Paul Lubben, Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Delmer Wilder, Pittsburg, California, and Mrs. Donald Hafermann, Wisconsin Rapids, and her grandfather Fred Bossert, Wisconsin Rapids.
Friends may pay their respects at the Taylor Funeral Home from 7 O'clock this evening until time of services.
