John H. Adams

Services for John Henry Adams, 39, of Hildebran, who died last Tuesday, were held at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews. The Revs. Max Crump and J. C. Day officiated.

Burial was in Camp Branch Cemetery.

A native of Andrews, he was a son of Callie Adams Kilby of Andrews and the late John Willard Adams. He was a flagman of Southern Railroad and a member of Andrews Second Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Marcella Grant Adams; three sons, Dwayne, Bobby and Jeffrey Adams of the home; three sisters, Applee Adams of Asheville, Lenna Garrett of Brasstown and Joan Hardin of Andrews; a half sister, Lillian Art of Brasstown; a brother, William Thomas Adams of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a half brother, Leonard "Bud" Adams of Andrews.

Serving as pallbearers were members of the Nantahala Rescue Squad.
