She was first married to Joseph Edgar (Joe) Tapp, he was a car mechanic and he had gone to Edna, Jackson County ,Texas for work when he caught pneumonia and died leaving her with a new infant baby boy, Thomas Paul Tapp.Living in the small community of Lone Cedar with her husbands family Thomas and Beulah Tapp she raised Paul with their help. She met and married Ernest Feaster and had another baby boy Ernest Feaster Jr, later renaming him Ernest Durward Feaster. Both her sons grew up in a farming family, the older one going into the grocery store business and marring and going into WWII, the younger helping his mother on the family farm after Ernest Feaster passed away. After the death of her 2nd husband and her youngest son dying she moved into Waxahachie,building a new home, near to her oldest son Paul and family. She lived in this home until death in 1978.She was a faithful member of the Central Presbyterian Church of Waxahachie,Texas.
