Lorraine A. Streed, 81, of 35 Arden Pkwy., died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, in WCA Hospital.
She was the widow of A. LeRoy Streed, whom she married April 18, 1953, and who died Oct. 20, 2002.
A lifelong area resident, Lorraine was born in Jamestown on Dec. 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Richard and Rose Norton Gustafson, and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1947.
She retired after 35 years with the Sears Roebuck Store in Lakewood.
Lorraine was a communicant of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she belonged to the Bishop Overs Guild and volunteered at the Thrift Store. She was also a former member of the Thule Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters: Shelly (Jon) Culbertson of Warren, Pa., and Ann (Shaun) McNallie of Louisburg, N.C; four grandchildren: Jeremy Sweeney of Sugar Grove, Ryan Sweeney of Louisburg, and Daniel and Christine Culbertson, both of Warren; three great-grandchildren: Ayden Heaton, Sydney Heaton and Marissa Sweeney; and a brother, R. Fenton Gustafson of Ashville, N.Y.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Maurice Gustafson.
