Alvin William Hauver. well-known retired potato grower of Hauvers District, died at 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon at his Foxville residence, aged 74 years, three months and 28 days. He was a son of the late Ephraim D. and Martha E. Gordon Hauver. His wife, Mrs. Anna Fox Hauver, died about two years ago. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clara McCleaf, Hanover, Pa.; Mrs. Ray Brandenburg." Foxville, and Mrs. Charles Barrick, this city; a son, George Hauver, at home; sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a brother, Charles C. Hauver, Thurmont: two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Bachtell, Cavetown, and Mrs. Mae Cline, Garfield. The body is at the funeral home in Thurmont. where friends may call. Funeral services will be held Sunday" afternoon at 2 o'clock at the funeral home with Rev. Francis Bell officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah cemetery.
