Mrs. Minnie Haugk, 88, of 526 Studebaker Street, died at 6:55 a.m. today at the Decatur Community Care Center, where she had been a patient four weeks.
She was born in Preble Township Dec. 22, 1882, a daughter of Henry and Louise Meyer-Wefel, and was married to Martin Haugk Oct. 26, 1905. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1946.
Mrs. Haugk was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Union Township.
Surviving are four sons, Arthur and Edwin Haugk, both of Decatur, Gerhard Haugk of Fort Wayne, and Reinhard Haugk of Hoagland; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Luetta) Nern of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Five brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren are deceased.
Funeral rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Zwick Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Paul W. Ludwig will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday until time of the services.
