BOUNTIFUL- Thelma James Robison was born July 11, 1921 in Tucson, Arizona to Walter James and Cecil Thelma Nelson James. She passed away May 27, 2009 at age 87. She spent her early years in Wales, Utah, later moving to Provo. She graduated from Provo High School. From her marriage to her first husband, she had a daughter, Vicki Lee Johnson. She married Ray G. Robison February 16, 1952, and from this union came another daughter, Debra Rae Robison. Ray was in the Army, and they were stationed in Italy, Georgia, Alabama and Colorado Springs, eventually settling in Bountiful, Utah. Thelma did volunteer work at the Fort Carson Hospital and she and Ray volunteered at the Traveler's Aid booth at the Salt Lake Airport for many years. Thelma kept an immaculate house and was an adventurous cook. She sewed beautifully and enjoyed doing ceramics and all types of crafts, crocheting, and knitting. Her favorite activity was going on the bus to Wendover. She loved her cat Mandy. She was a member of the LDS Church and a good neighbor. Ray passed away June 7, 2002. Thelma is survived by her daughter Vicki Dimond (Ron) and her daughter Debra McGill (Barry) and her five grandchildren, Mark Dimond (Ember), Danielle Dimond Fiedel (Roland), Blake Dimond (Melissa), and Michael Ray McGill (Lovise). She is also survived by five great grandchildren who brought her much delight: Julie and Celine Dimond and Bailee, Braden and Josie Fiedel. She is also survived by two brothers and one sister, Armond James (Jane), Glade James and Donna James Lotz. At Mother's request, there will be no funeral. A family memorial service will be at a later date.
