Born June 13, 1924 Wales, Utah to Walter James and Cecil Nelson James

Attended school at Farrer Jr. High a graduated from Provo High School in 1943 Armond served in the U.S. Army during the World War from 1943-1946 participating in the Battle of the Bulge and received 5 other battle stars. Returning home Jan 1946.

Married Jane Carter in May 1946 and for time and eternity Nov 7, 1947 in the SLC Temple.

Armond worked in construction for many years in many commercial buildings in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, & Wyoming. First as a lath and plaster contractor, then as a general contractor. Including doing the steel studs – lath & plaster for the Provo Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Armond served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including Cub Scout Master, Young Men's President, Elders Quorum President, Bishopric, and Stake High Council. He served a mission with his wife Jane in the Los Angeles Temple Visitor's Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jane, 2 sisters Thema & Dona, brother Glade, and daughter in law, Elise James.

He is survived by children Stephan James - Overton, Nevada; Sharon (Steve) Done - Pleasant Grove, Utah; and Gary (Tari) James – Kennedale, Texas. 20 grandchildren 62 great grandchildren and 19 gr. Great grandchildren.

A viewing will be Saturday July 29th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Hughes Mortuary with graveside service at Tonaquint Cemetery immediately following.
