Amie Daniel 1918-2010

Amie Francis Mathis Daniel, our wonderful mother, wife, sister and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 92, on her 71st wedding anniversary Thursday, September 2, 2010. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Amie lived in North Carolina to the age of 7 then moved to Felt-Ashton, Idaho, when she met and married her husband and moved to Ogden, Utah.
Amie worked at DDO during WWII, Smith's, Albertson's, IGA Food Store and retiring from HAFB in 1977. She became a snow-bird in St. George for many years. She loved playing card games, dancing, bowling, golfing and gardening. She enjoyed writing letters and taking pictures of her family. She was a member of the Roy Elks Ladies Auxiliary and a life-time member of the Ogden Ladies Eagles Auxiliary No. 2472.
Survived by three children and spouses; Treva (Grant) Black, Ric (Karen) Daniel and Teena (Frank) Wallace, 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-granchildren, (5 generations), 7 step-grandchildren, 14 step-great-grandchildren, 15 step-great-great-grandchildren and her sister Veda (Bob) Berger. Plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings sisters; Bonnie Atchley, Lee Manch, and Della Smith, brothers; Mitchell Mathis, Pern Lee Mathis, and Grady Mathis and on step-grandson Kenneth Webster.
The family wishes to thank Peach Tree, hospice, and many staff for the special care given to Amie.
A viewing will be held Friday, September 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 11 at 11 a.m. Friends may visit from 10-11 a.m. prior to services.
Interment Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
