Obituary of Mrs. Noble Jenkins
Earala Mae York was born in North Platte August 9,1884. She lived for some years with her parents at Cozad also at Gothenburg. On November 1, 1904, she was married to Mr.Noble Jenkins who was born in Kearney, Nebr., January 19, 1880. They moved to Overton, then back to Gothenburg. Later Mr. Jenkins went into the employ of the D.&R.G.R.R. and they took up their residence at Florence, Colo., where they remained for 18 months, then moving to Chama, N.Mexico, in July, 1909.Mrs. Jenkins sickness was of very short duration. Everything that could be done in the way of medical skill
was done but all to no avail for she passed away last Thursday, Oct. 20,1910. She had always been a worker in the
church societies and at Florence, Colo.,was a member of the Presbyterian ladies aid society. She was always ready to assist where there was need and was a good helper in time of sickness. She leaves her husband, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Riley York, three brothers and their wives to mourn her
loss. Those present from out of town wore Mr. nnd Mrs. James Jenkins of Kearney, and Mr. and Chas. A. Jenkins of Grand Island.The floral offerings were very beautiful and numerous. The funeral services were held from the M.E.church
at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24th conducted by Rev. W.S.Porter assisted by Rev.Geo. F. Williams of the Presbyterian church.
The remains were laid to rest in the North Platte cemetery. The stricken husband and relatives have the sympathy of their many friends. P.T.Wilcox returned this morning from
Ogalalla, where they had been attending court.
