Kate Kearney Henry, served as the second elected State Regent of the District of Columbia Daughters of the American Revolution, 1894-1896, and as National Society DAR Corresponding Secretary General, 1898-1900. During her term as State Regent, Mrs. Henry was a member of the Mary Washington Chapter. She also served as Regent of that chapter, 1905-1908. Mrs. Henry transferred her membership and was member of the Army and Navy Chapter at the time of her death in 1921.
Her father was Dr. John A. Kearney, a surgeon on the USS Constitution during the War of 1812. (he is buried at Congressional also, Range 53/Site 18, memorial #94795617.)
