Elijah Requa, s. of James Requa and Rebecca Conklin, b. circa 1773 poss. near White Plains, Westchester County, NY. He m. 1) Eustatia Comb, dau. of Capt. George Comb and Elizabeth Wildey, the mother of all his children.

Elijah's older brother Glode m. Eustatia (Comb) Requa's sister Judith. Glode and Judith's son, George Requa, was a missionary to the Osage Indians with his cousin, Rev. William Comb Requa, latter who is summarized below.

According to the "Family of Requa," Rev. William Comb Requa was the twin of Nathaniel, the eldest two children of the Elijah Requa family. Son William is the current focus of this memorial.

• Rev. William Comb Requa, M.D., b. 1795 (g.s.) at the Township of Mount Pleasant, Westchester County, NY, d. in 1886 at Butler in Bates County, MO. In 1820 William became the Assistant Superintendent of Union Mission to the Osage Indians, in the former Osage Indian Territory, now Mayes County, OK. Following the closing of that mission and its sister Harmony Mission in southwest Missouri, Rev. Requa relocated his family to near the former Harmony Mission setting at present-day Bates County, MO. During his missionary service he become proficient enough in medicine to later be recognized as a doctor. He was married three times to fellow missionaries and had children by his first and third wives. See link below for an outline and summary of his family.

In addition to Rev. William Comb Requa, another son of Elijah and Eustatia, Rev. Requa's 13 year younger brother, would leave New York and settle at Vernon County, MO in the 1840s after first spending a brief period as a teacher at Fort Wayne, Indiana:

• James Hervey Requa, b. July 8, 1808 at the Township of Mount Pleasant, Westchester County, NY, d. Dec. 1, 1893 at Deerfield, Vernon County, MO; m. Mary Ann Norris, b. May 15, 1815 at New York. She d. Dec. 29, 1887 at Vernon County, MO. James was not involved with Harmony Mission.
