Was living in Bull Swamp in Lexington County SC until after his wife died (she is buried in Swansea in Lexington County SC). After interviewing the family many years ago, no one could figure out why he moved from that area to the Saluda County SC area. He brought at least 3 of his young children (Ellen, John Joseph and Darling Lewie) with him and they all settled in and are buried in the area.
