AN OLD LANDMARK GONE
Samuel H. Van Sickle died at his home in this city last night, in his seventy-first year. Mr. Van Sickle had been sick about one week, first with a low bilious fever and later with inflammation of the bowels.
Deceased was one of the best known men of Lucas county. He came here from New York in February, 1855, engaging in the grocery business in which he remained continuously until last summer. He leaves a widow (sister of Thos. Palmer) and one son and three daughters.
