My Dad is buried at Munterville Cemetery, Munterville, Iowa. He was living in Blakesburg, Iowa and was a farmer. He died in Muscatine, Iowa at my Grandparents home and my Mom was with him. He had been in the hospital in Iowa City for 1 year before he died. My grandfather was a doctor. He knew my Dad was ready to pass so they drove him home to Blakesburg. I got off the school bus the driveway was a long one and I saw a man standing by himself at the edge of the house wearing a suit. I had no idea who it was until I ran as fast as I could and saw it was my Dad. He ate supper with us and after that day was never able to get out of bed. After a few days my grandparents came back, they had removed the back seat in the Cadillac they had. Some men carried my Dad in a lawn chair to the car and they went to Muscatine and two days later he died at age 31. My Dad had a bad heart valve.
