Agnes Marie Schwartz, 85, of Elkhart, Indiana, died early Thursday morning, March 16, 2006, at her home.
She was born July 20, 1920, in Rensselaer, Indiana, daughter of the late Samuel and Bertha (Kauffman) Eicher.
She was a member of Silverwood Mennonite Church; was an avid quilter, gardner and cook. She loved her grandchildren. She loved to read and had a love for her Lord, Jesus Christ.
She was a homemaker and she cleaned new homes her husband built.
Surviving are her husband, Victor L. Schwartz of Elkhart; three daughters, Rosa (Richard) Dirmyer of Elkhart, Mary (Roger) Andersen of Walnut Creek, California, and Miriam (Rich) Gustin of Harlan, Indiana; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Ann Delagrange of Quincy, Michigan, Mary (Dave) Wengerd and Martha Schwartz both of Berne, Indiana, and Emma Schwartz of Missouri. One Brother, John (Mattie) Eicher of Berne, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by three daughters: Ann Phillips, Lillian Schwartz and Rebecca Schwartz.
Friends will be received 1-3 and 4-6 pm Sunday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home & 1 hr prior to the Service at Silverwood Mennonite Church.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 20, 2006 at Silverwood Mennonite Church with Rev. Gary Martin officiating.
Interment will follow at Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen, Indiana.
