Earl Arthur Turner died May 21, 1958 at Converse County Memorial hospital after several weeks illness. Mr. Turner was born at Audubon, Iowa on March 4, 1891, the son of Eva Francher and Thomas Henry Turner. He was united in marriage with Helen M. Stearns February 7, 1917. To this union were born six children, three sons and three daughters. He and his family moved to Douglas in 1929 where he resided until his death. His son, Floyd, and brother, Clarence, preceded him in death. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Helen, three daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Drennen, Mrs. John Nida and Mrs. Bud Tillard; two sons, Henry (Bud) and Gordon, all of Douglas; two sisters, Mrs. Dick Hornbuckle of Douglas and Mrs. J. B. Carpenter of Pomona, Calif.; two brothers, Floyd and Glenn of Douglas; eleven grandchildren; five nieces and four nephews.
