Hazel Fern Jobe, 85, a homemaker of Canton, died Tuesday, February 7, 1995 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. Born Dec. 9, 1909, in Ewing, she was a daughter of Robert and Daisy Ray Vaughn Broy. She married Stanley Wilbert Jobe April 20, 1930, in LaGrange. He died in 1956. Mrs. Jobe was a graduate of LaGrange High School and attended Hannibal-LaGrange College for two years. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Clay of Keoku, Iowa; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton by the Rev. Russell Johnson. Casket bearers were Dana Myers, Craig Myers, Daniel Myers, Matthew Varner, Vaughn Myers and Harold Vice. Burial was in Forest Grove Cemetery.
