Funeral services for Robert Broy, 95, of Ewing, were held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Ewing, conducted by the Rev. Billy Joe Bobbett. Casketbearers were Harold Leonard Broy, Harold Dean Broy, Leonard J. Broy, Eldon Gaus, Sam Brown, and Albert Toliver. Burial was in the Ewing Cemetery. Mr. Broy died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1976, at 8:40 a.m. in his home. He was born Aug. 19, 1881, in Monticello, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery Broy. For many years he owned and operated a grocery and meat market in Ewing. He married Ola Williams on April 20, 1937, in Ewing. She died in 1974. Mr. Broy was the last of his family, being preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
