LEADER, Sim - - -Died 5:25 p.m. Sunday, Nov 3, 1991, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 92, a native of Whitehall and a resident of Gonzales. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, Gonzales, 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Whitehall, 1 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by Father McDonald. Burial in Whitehall Community Cemetery. Survived by wife, Elsie Brown Leader, Gonzales; a daughter, Mrs. Welman (Willie Pearl) Babin, Gonzales; three sons, Ivy Leader, Gonzales, Avalon Leader, Baton Rouge, and Charles Glynn Leader, New Orleans; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Selmore and Jumilia Brignac Leader; a daughter, Mary Catherine LeBourgeois; a son Sim Leader; two brothers, three half-brothers, three sisters, a half-sister, and a granddaughter. Pallbeares will be grandsons. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church.
