Funeral services for Earl D Beach, 82, lifelong resident of the St Anthony community, will be held this morning, Thursday, from Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mr Beach died at his home Monday afternoon, October 6.
The Rev John Schmitz will officiate and burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, St Anthony.
Mr Beach was born February 16, 1892 on a farm northwest of Zearing, a son of Charles and Alice Beach. He was married to Mary Jordan on November 28, 1918 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St Anthony.
The couple lived and farmed on the farm where he was born until March 1, 1940, when they moved to St Anthony. He then ran a gas service station in St Anthony until 1973 when he retired due to ill health.
Survivors include his widow, Mary; two children, Mrs Mary Alice McCann of Marshalltown and Donald of St Anthony; five grandsons and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
