"OBITUARY - Carrie A. Beach was born in Washington township, Polk county, Iowa, December 10, 1877. She resided in that locality until she was eight years of age and then with her parents moved to their home north of Zearing, here she resided until the 17th day of last December when she was married to Enoch H. Glasscoe. Soon thereafter the husband and wife took up their residence in Zearing where they resided until a short time ago when they removed to the city of Marshalltown. The deceased was afflicted with the dreaded disease typhoid fever. Her illness covered a period of about two weeks."
