MRS. ROBERT HOOVER CLAIMED BY DEATH
DIED THURSDAY NIGHT AFTER 3 YEARS' ILLNESS FROM TUBERCULAR TROUBLE.

Mrs. Robert Hoover, age 45, passed away at 9 o'clock Thursday night, at her home, one mile north and one and one-half miles west of Tocsin. She has been in declining health for about three years, and was a sufferer from tubercular trouble.

Mrs. Hoover was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Shady and had spent most of her life in Wells County, and was one of the prominent ladies of her community and was held in highest esteem by a wide circle of friends. Surviving are the husband and five children, Miss Letha, who is a teacher of the Bender school in Lancaster township; Lida Helen, Ira and Neila. One child, Ruby Irenene[sic Irene], preceded her mother in death. There also survives Mrs. Hoover her father, William Shady, a brother, Vernie Shady, and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Stewart, and Mrs. Maggie Trenary, the latter of Bluffton.

Mrs. Hoover was a member of the Tocsin lodge of Pythian Sisters.

The funeral services will be held at Emmaus at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, and burial will be in the Tocsin cemetery.
