On Monday, January 20, Mr. G. W. Hiatt, formerly of this place, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eugene Savage, Cade, Oklahoma, of old age and deformities, at the age of 82 years. The remains were sent to this city and the funeral took place in the M. E. Church, conducted by Rev. Shepherd, last Sunday, after which the remains were interred in the Combs Cemetery at Luray. He leaves four sons, two daughters and many friends to mourn his departure.
