Born June 29, 1883 in Coopers, he was a son of George Washington and Lillie Mae Hughes Bell.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Jennette) Booth of Charleston; a son, Howard T. Bell of Coopers; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Coopers Methodist Church, with Rev. William Quesenberry and Dr. W. P. Eastwood officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The body will be removed to the home of the son Tuesday afternoon from the Pocahontas Union Funeral Home, Pocahontas, and will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
