Verena Beck, 89, of Paris died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, in Paris. She was born March 9, 1916, in Benton, Ill. She was a member of the Holiness Church of Scranton and the widow of John Beck Jr.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Prairie View Cemetery in Prairie View under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.

She is survived by a son, Albert Beck of Lavaca; her twin sister, Arneda Rainwater of Paris; a brother, Hester Cauldwell of Fort Smith; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
