A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, 22 W. Kiowa St. Burial will be at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Nolan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Ms. Dean was born April 1, 1912, in Colorado Springs to George C. and Carolyn Marie (Fell) Dean.
She is survived by a brother, John W. of Manitou Springs; and two sisters, Alice Steppler of Colorado Springs and Rose Drinnon of Bristol, Conn. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and George; and two sisters, Madelyn Heaton and Katherine Thompson.
Ms. Dean graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School and Blair Business College.
She was a former member of St. Paul's Guild and volunteered at St. Francis Hospital. She crocheted caps for the children of Nepal and rosaries for missions.
Ms. Dean was a lifelong area resident.
